Terms of Service
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service apply to your use of this website and to appliance repair services provided by TRUEFIX AUSTIN, doing business as TrueFix Austin ("we," "us" or "our"). By using the website or scheduling service, you agree to these terms. We provide residential and commercial appliance repair in Austin, Texas and the nearby areas listed on our service areas page.
2. Appointments
- Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather and earlier jobs.
- An adult (18 or older) with authority to approve work should be present during the visit.
- Please provide safe access to the appliance and tell us about any building requirements, such as insurance certificates, elevator reservations or gate codes, when you book.
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as you can.
- Any service-call, diagnostic, cancellation or missed-appointment charges will be explained to you when you book.
3. Diagnosis, Estimates and Approval
- The technician diagnoses the appliance and gives you an estimate before any repair work starts.
- Repair work begins only after you approve the estimate.
- If additional faults are found during the repair, we will ask for your approval before doing further work.
- Any information on this website about repair times or common causes is general guidance, not a quote.
4. Payment
- Payment is due when the service is completed unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Accepted payment methods will be confirmed when you book or before work begins.
5. Parts
Parts may be manufacturer (OEM) parts or compatible equivalents; we will tell you which before you approve the estimate. If a part must be ordered, completion depends on supplier availability and a return visit will be scheduled. We cannot guarantee same-day completion.
6. Warranties
Any warranty we provide on parts or labor will be stated in writing on your estimate or invoice, including its length and what it covers. Manufacturer warranties are provided by the manufacturer, not by us. Warranties on our work do not cover unrelated failures, misuse, or damage caused by others working on the appliance after our repair.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage, wear or defects unrelated to the work we performed
- Food spoilage or other loss resulting from an appliance failure
- Indirect, incidental or consequential damages
Nothing in these terms limits any right or remedy you have under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices–Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be waived or limited by agreement.
8. Website Use
Website content is provided for general information. Troubleshooting guidance is not a substitute for professional service; do not attempt repairs involving gas, electrical components or refrigerant, and disconnect power and water before inspecting an appliance. Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we work on.
9. Governing Law and Venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have under applicable law, any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date and apply to services scheduled after that date.
